JADEVA Code of Conduct
The JADEVA program aims to foster an inclusive and collaborative environment. All members are expected to uphold high standards of conduct, ensuring that the program remains a respectful, safe, and enriching space for all participants. This Code of Conduct outlines the responsibilities of members and the values that guide our program.
Scope of Code of Conduct
This Code of Conduct applies to all members, participants, mentors, speakers, and partners involved with JADEVA.
Respect and Inclusivity
We value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive space for people of all backgrounds. Discrimination or harassment based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other characteristic will not be tolerated.
All members must treat one another and any guests with respect. This includes listening to differing opinions and fostering a positive, supportive environment.
Integrity and Accountability
Honesty and integrity are expected from all members. Whether during group discussions or in any representation of JADEVA, members should uphold high ethical standards.
Members are responsible for their own actions and should admit mistakes, take responsibility, and make every effort to correct them.
Participation and Engagement
Members are expected to actively participate in all scheduled activities, including workshops, discussions, and collaborative projects.
Attendance and punctuality are important. If a member is unable to attend a session, prior notice should be given, and it is the member’s responsibility to catch up on any information shared.
Members should engage in discussions constructively, offering feedback that is helpful and focused on ideas rather than individuals.
Collaboration and Teamwork
Collaboration is a key component of the program. Members are expected to work together effectively, sharing knowledge, supporting each other’s learning, and contributing equally to group discussions.
Conflicts should be addressed respectfully and constructively, with an aim toward resolution and mutual understanding.
Confidentiality and Privacy
Respect the privacy and confidentiality of fellow members, mentors, and partners. Personal information shared within JADEVA, including discussions during group sessions, should remain confidential.
Do not share any proprietary or sensitive information learned during JADEVA with outside parties without authorization.
Social Media and Representation of JADEVA
Members are encouraged to share their experiences from JADEVA through social media. However, when doing so, ensure that you represent JADEVA positively and refrain from disclosing confidential information.
Always clarify that your views are personal and do not necessarily reflect the opinions or positions of JADEVA.
Reporting and Addressing Concerns
Members who experience or witness any form of harassment, discrimination, or violation of this code are encouraged to report the issue to one of the co-founders.
JADEVA maintains a zero-tolerance policy for violations, and concerns will be addressed confidentially and promptly. In addition, a meeting between the parties involved, the JADEVA co-founders, and JADEVA’s acting attorney will commence for any formal complaint issued. We strive to create a safe and inclusive space for all.
Consequences for Violations
Any violation of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary actions, including removal from JADEVA.
The severity of the consequences will be determined based on the nature of the violation.
Review and Acceptance
This Code of Conduct is reviewed regularly to ensure it remains up to date and aligned with JADEVA’s values and goals.
By participating in the JADEVA program, you agree to adhere to the principles outlined in this Code of Conduct.
